Thomas Evans died from wounds on 13th January, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 1st Liverpool (Kings) battalion was part of 6 Brigade, 2nd Division that had arrived in France at the beginning of the war and had been involved in the fighting on the Western Front since that date.
